Sometimes life leads us exactly where we're meant to be.
For me, that moment happened during my first visit to Sanibel Island in 2014.
I had traveled from Massachusetts to Sanibel, Fl, and the experience was unforgettable. The beaches along the Gulf were unlike any I had ever seen. The shoreline was covered with beautiful shells, each one shaped by the ocean and waiting to be discovered. I quickly learned that Sanibel is known around the world for its incredible shelling, and I found myself completely captivated.
I spent hours walking along the beach, searching through the sand and tide lines, amazed by the variety of shells and marine life surrounding me. Something about the rhythm of the waves, the warm Gulf breeze, and the quiet focus of searching for shells brought me a deep sense of calm.
That trip stayed with me long after I returned home.
My love for the Gulf Coast kept growing, and eventually it led me to make a life-changing decision — In 2018, moved from Massachusetts to Florida to be closer to the beaches, the ocean, and the incredible marine life that had captured my heart.
Over time, those collected shells began inspiring something creative.
I started transforming the shells I found into jewelry and creative picture keepsakes for family and friends— simple pieces that captured the beauty of the ocean and the peaceful feeling of those beach walks. What began as a personal creative outlet slowly grew into something more meaningful.
